How many guests can stay?

This cabin will comfortable sleep up to 8 guests

Is Canvasback Cove pet friendly?

Absolutely! We allow dogs only with a maximum of 2 pets.

Are kayaks and fishing gear included?

Yes! We have two angling kayaks available for guests with life jackets in a variety of sizes, fishing rods, and tackle.

Can guests fish from the dock?

Usually yes. However, this changes based on current vegetation amounts (including giant salvinia and water hyacinths) that are unpredictable throughout the year.

How close is Jefferson?

Jefferson is just a short drive away, approximately 20-25 minutes from the cabin.

What activities are available if we want to stay in and relax?

We've stocked Canvasback Cove with plenty of entertainment for guests of all ages including board games, video games, coloring books and crayons, playing cards, as well as a collection of kid friendly DVDs.

Is the boat slip accessible with the salvinia and vegetation around it?

Yes, giant salvinia and water hyacinths are most prevalent around the dock but the slip and dock remain accessible. This vegetation grows on the surface of the water and varies seasonally as well as daily depending on weather, wind, and water conditions.

**October 2026 Water Level Update - Current lake levels are very low, limiting access to the boat house. There are nearby ramps currently open that can be used to launch a boat, but boat house is currently inaccessible by boat. There are 2 kayaks available on the property that can be launched from the dock or can be loaded in the back of a truck and launched from the community boat ramp just down the road. Ability to launch kayaks from the dock on the property is not guaranteed.
